Wellbeing Policies

Applies to: all TWG Team Members

Overview

The leadership of The Warehouse Group (TWG) is committed to providing a working environment that respects and provides for the wellbeing of all Team Members. Wellbeing is an essential part of our health and safety obligations, and also serves to ensure that every TWG workplace is a great place to work, and that Team Members enjoy and thrive in their work. Wellbeing of our Team Members is of critical importance to TWG, and the principles in this Policy sit alongside the principles in the TWG Health and Safety Policy.

Wellbeing Principles

We will apply the following principles when ensuring the wellbeing of all Team Members:
  • Team Members will not work more than 6 consecutive days.
  • Additional hours worked outside of standard hours, will only worked where those hours are reasonable for a Team Member’s wellbeing. The number of hours that a Team Member is expected to work in a week will be reasonable, and what is reasonable will be based upon each Team Member’s own circumstances. However, in general, it would be expected that a person would not work more than 10 hours per day.
  • Team Members will be required to take their rest periods during the course of their working day.
  • Team Members should make their manager(s) aware of any other work (paid or unpaid) that they undertake so that TWG can be aware of any risks to their wellbeing arising from fatigue.
  • Team Members will be expected to draw to the attention of their manager(s) any health or other issues that TWG needs to be aware of in order to ensure their wellbeing.
  • Team Members will be expected to draw to the attention of their manager(s) any situation where they are fatigued or that their wellbeing is of concern to them.
  • Team Members should ensure that they get enough sleep, maintain a nutritious diet and stay hydrated during their working day.
  • It is of particular importance that any Team Member who is employed to work on nightfill makes TWG aware of any other (paid or unpaid) work, and that they get enough sleep and maintain their nutrition and hydration.

We take our wellbeing responsibilities seriously:
